Delivery in Kenya: a friendly call, then your tube at your door
Penetrex Balm reaches you through a simple route. An operator calls to confirm your order and your area, the parcel is sent, and you pay when it arrives.
Delivery of Penetrex Balm starts with a phone call. After you send your name and Kenyan mobile number, an operator rings you between 11:00 and 23:00 Nairobi time, confirms your order and the delivery to your area, and arranges the parcel. You pay on delivery.
The route has four stages: the form, the confirmation call, the parcel and payment on delivery. There is no card and no account at any stage, and the 50 g tube costs KES 5,990.
The delivery route in four steps
Send the form
Your name and Kenyan mobile number on the order page. No card, no account.
Take the call
The operator rings during calling hours and confirms your order and area.
Receive the parcel
The 50 g tube reaches your area, and you look at the carton and the tube.
Pay on delivery
When you are happy with what you see, you pay KES 5,990.
What happens in the confirmation call?
The confirmation call is short. Its purpose is to make sure the parcel finds the right person in the right place.
Calls come between 11:00 to 23:00 Nairobi time. Because the window runs into the evening, you can order on a matatu ride at 7 am and still take the call after a full day at work.
- The operator greets you and checks your name.
- They confirm the phone number you entered.
- They ask about your area, so delivery to your area can be confirmed.
- They check the order: one 50 g tube at KES 5,990.
- They explain how payment on delivery works, and you can ask anything you like.
How is delivery to your area confirmed?
The operator confirms delivery to your area with you directly, because an address in Kenya does not always look like a postcode. You describe where you are, and the operator notes the details.
Helpful things to mention in the call:
- The town or estate, for example Kilimani, Nyali or Milimani.
- The road or the stage nearest to you.
- A landmark that everyone knows: a petrol station, a church, a school, a supermarket.
- The name of the person who will receive the parcel.
Delivery terms for your area are confirmed in the call, so you hear them from the operator before you agree to anything.
KES 5,990. Confirmation call first, payment on delivery.
Which areas are confirmed individually?
For some places the operator looks at the details one by one before confirming delivery. These are:
- Baringo
- Marsabit
- Moyale
- Garissa
- Lamu
- Wajir
- Emali
- Loitoktok
- Kibwezi
If you live in or near one of them, you can still send your order. Say clearly where you are, and the operator will confirm with you what is possible for your address. For every other place, the same route applies: form, call, delivery, payment.
Why order by phone and pay on delivery?
Payment on delivery works like paying in a shop: the parcel comes to you, you look at it, and only then do you pay KES 5,990.
It also means you need no card and no online wallet to start. If you would rather compare with a pharmacy visit, the where to buy page shows how the order route fits alongside shops and marketplaces.
The price page lists what the KES 5,990 includes and how the handover works.
How can you prepare for the delivery?
Keep your phone on
Charge it and keep it nearby from 11:00 to 23:00. Answer calls from unknown numbers during that time.
Know your address details
Think of the road, the estate, the stage and a landmark before the operator asks.
Decide who receives it
If you may be out, name a family member or colleague at the address and tell the operator.
Have the amount ready
The tube costs KES 5,990. A ready payment keeps the handover quick for everyone.
What should you check when the parcel arrives?
Four quick checks at the door:
- The carton is dark green and shows the name Penetrex Balm.
- Inside is one 50 g tube with a white cap.
- Both match the photographs on the home page, where you can see the tube and carton from several angles.
- The ingredient list on the carton matches the one on the ingredients page.
Once you are happy, you pay and the tube is yours. Read the how-to-use page for the five steps, and the safety page before the first application. Penetrex Balm is for external use, so it belongs on the skin only, away from the eyes and broken skin.
